I'd love a slice of this, he's got a good 18 months left in him and will score goals, simple as.
I would agree BUT Short is so desperate to sell that club, he might just fancy trousering the money right now, he's already told Moyes to fuck off in January.

Why would they sell their best goalscorer...
Him Antonio and Carroll would be a good striker rotation...

They'd be simply bonkers to let him go. He's their best chance of staying up. Even if Short does want to sell, how is a Championship club a more valuable prospect than a PL club ? And that's what they'd almost certainly be without him.
In our current state I'd take him in a heartbeat, obviously.

£6m?
Sunderland wouldn't let him go for £26m! He's the only chance they have of staying up

Firstly this is almost certainly bollocks.
Secondly, I wouldn't have him even at 6m
Thirdly Batistuta in his prime wouldn't score goals for us because we simply don't make any chances. This washed up cunt certainly won't save our season.

I'm on the fence with this one...will he score goals for us? Yes. Are we really so tragic and desperate that we still need to go down the same old road of signing 35 year old strikers on their last legs? Hope not. Is that 'progress'? No.
Won't happen anyway.

For £6m I'd buy him and loan him to Swansea or Hull just for fun.

Doubt they'd sell unless Defoe forced it - but FUCKING BIG YES!

can't see any possible reason Sunderland would sell
Even if he's kicking up a fuss surely they tell him to wait for the summer

We should get him. Game against Sunderland will have both sets of fans calling him naughty names.

Unlikely to happen but would definitely take him back.
Still probably the best English finisher about.

Re: Defoe £6m

im not aware he's changed his game to one where he plays back to goal contending for wayward punts upfield , in no mans land between the 18 yard line and the centre circle- so its an emphatic no from me...

Sunderland have to reduced their wage bill. They have no money even to bring in a loan.
Someone will be sold from there, it was obviously be suicide for them to sell Defoe.

Great finisher but we seem to be creating little or no chances at all at the moment. This isn't just about getting a goalscorer.
